Innovation & Enterprise

Innovation, Creativitiy & Enterprise (ICE)

In line with Mr Tharman Shanmugaratnam's vision to promote Innovation & Enterprise (I&E) so as to better prepare our young for a changing and more complex future(Click here for his full speech)), Shuqun had made progressive steps to encourage the spirit of Innovation, Creativity & Enterprise amongst our students.

Our aim is to nurture a new generation of Singaporeans with a mindset and outlook of creativity, initiative and self-reliance. They should possess the following core attributes:
1. Intellectual curiosity ( eg. To question assumptions, explore and experiment) and the ability to see things in new ways (eg to recognize patterns and make connections)
2. Passion, strength of character, resilience and ruggedness
3. Courage to take calculated risks and live with ambiguity ( eg to seek alternative pathways)
4. Sense of teamwork and ‘giving back?to the community

If our young Singaporeans have a strong sense of I&E, they will be more able to generate new knowledge, identify opportunities and dare to push forward in the face of new challenges. Singapore will then better positioned for success in the evolving global economy.
