By the way, I had always wanted to thank you for your
time taken to assist Andrew Loh (my elder kid) in his

Dear Gary and all teachers at Shuqun
Mark and I have just returned from Perth Swim Meet. We are truly indebted to your kindness and endless support for Mark. He would not have gotten this far without the love and encouragement that all of you have showered upon him.
It was a historic moment for Mark as he broke the 4-year old record in 50m freestyle in a time of 34.60secs. The Challenge Stadium was filled with thundering roars of cheers as they stood up and clapped for him as he touched the clock pad. He bagged 5 golds and 1 silver in the 7-8 years old boys. He also achieved his personal best times swimming with 10 year olds in 2 events. At the end of the Meet, Mark was named the overall Champion Swimmer in his age group with a champion trophy to bring home.
Based on the recent results of Singapore National Aged Group Swim Meet held at Singapore Sports school in March 2008, Mark now ranks 4th in all the four strokes at National level. We believe in an all-rounded swimmer learning the techniques of all 4 strokes. This is most definitely in-line with Shuqun's holistic education in nurturing a star in the child in a holistic way.
He is ever so proud to be a Shuqunite. Many thanks.
Thanks and regards.

Dear Mr Tsu,
Our daughter, Chan Hui Ping is currently studying in class 1A2 in Shuqun
Primary School.
Firstly, we would like to compliment the school on the recent Meet The
Parents session held on 29 March 2008. It was well organised. On the day of
the meeting, the whole process was completed smoothly and very orderly. It
was a great experience for us to share with the teachers what Hui Ping has
learned in Shuqun during her first few months as a Primary 1 student. Thank
you for a job well done.
In addition, we would also like to compliment Mrs. Yip, the Form Teacher
for her class 1A2.
Her current Form Teacher, Mrs. Yip has done an excellent job. After a few
days in her new class (1A2), we noticed Hui Ping had changed completely from what she used to be, shy and reserved. She always looked very jovial when we took her home. She was very happy and told us she enjoyed Mrs. Yip’s class very much. Now, she always looks
forward to going to school and attending Mrs. Yip’s class. She has become a very
confident girl and always talks to us about her school activities. Her
school work has also improved tremendously.
We noticed Mrs. Yip’s method of teaching her class students were different
from what we experienced with the other teachers. She always has many
new and dynamic ideas in her teaching methods. She is able to relate to
the children, 'open' them up and most importantly, she is able to engage and maintain
their interest in their studies. Her methods of teaching give the children
a different learning perspective besides the usual class room learning
environment. It gives the children the opportunity to learn things beyond
the class room environment such as problem solving, leadership,
communication, care and interaction with one another. Mrs. Yip shows great
care and concern towards the welfare and learning development of her
students with the basic understanding that school learning should be fun
and happy. In return, Hui Ping loves to attend her class. Even at home, she
will always share with us her learning experiences in her class room.
We would like to extend our appreciation to Mrs. Yip for her excellent work
done. We would also like to congratulate Shuqun Primary School for having
such an outstanding teacher. With such a dedicated teacher under your
leadership, we are totally assured that Hui Ping will be confident and
equipped to step into the ever changing learning experiences in the current
education system as well as the future.
Thank you.
Yours sincerely
Mr & Mrs. Chan Lee Po (parents)
